Boy could I use some help My great grandmother was born January 15 1873 in Cork county Ireland. After the death of her father (?) she and her mother (?) came to New York in 1880. Annie's mother died shortly after ariving(?) and Annie was placed in an orphange until she was 10 she was then adpoted by a family by the name of Cornin and taken to Kansas where she recieved her education.
I have been trying to find a ship list for the year 1880 from Ireland to New York for the year 1880 there does not seem to be any. Would someone know if there were any ships comming to America at that time? And if there were none how would one have came from Ireland to New york in 1880. The only records I have found in Germans to America for that year. Hope someone might beable to set me on the right path I have been dealing with this for two years now.
