I am looking for info. on Philip AHERN, BD approx. Nov., 1872, 27 years old, who lived in the borough of Manhattan at the time of the 1900 federal census. Address was East 72nd, NY, NY. His occupation is listed as "railroad", but family lore has it he was a director (eventually) of the Delaware, Lackawanna Railroad. Living with Philip are his sisters, Kate, BD 1868, 32 years old, Annie T., BD 1870, 29 years old and Gertie L., BD 1875, 24 years old. The two oldest sisters are listed as being schoolteachers. Again, family lore has it that Philip had a brother, William??? ALSO living with the family are Annie DWYER, Kate DWYER and Maggie DWYER.
