I would like to share information with anyone who is researching the Aguirres of Mexico who more recently were in southern New Mexico.
The line I have begins with Bartolome de AGUIRRE born about 1744, married Andrea COLOMO. I don't know where they were from, but they had 5 children that I know of, born in the Julimes and Aldama areas of Mexico:
Juan Antonio AGUIRRE, b. about 1760, married Barbara VALLE
Maria Estefana AGUIRRE, b. 1770, married Nicolas Viarreal
Maria Manuela AGUIRRE, b. 1772, married Mathias de la Sierra y Sienfuegos
Maria Isabel Carolina AGUIRRE, born about 1774
Maria Encarnacion, married Pedro Rodriguez Rey
Juan Antonio AGUIRRE and Barbara VALLE had 9 children including Mariano and Jose de los Angeles, who ended up mining in the Nuevo Casas Grandes area of Chihuahua State.
Mariano AGUIRRE, born about 1794, married Severiana PARRA, born about 1826 (may have been his second family??) had many children, including Anacleto AGUIRRE, who married Ellen THOMPSON and lived in the Mesilla Valley of New Mexico.
I have quite a bit more information on this line if anyone is interested.
