I just constructed a couple of rendering of the Aguirre coat of arms based on the info below:
Joseph Lewis Aguirre
Origin: Spanish
Spelling variations include: Aguirre, Aguirra, Aguirri, and others.
First found in the Basque country of northern Spain.
Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: Among the early explorers of the New World was conquistador Lope de Aguirre (1518-1561), who voyaged to Peru with Pizarro. Later he travelled the entire length of the Amazon River in a small boat. Also of note were Domingo Aguirre, who journeyed to America with Jiménez de Quesada and was one of the founders of the city of Bogotá, Colombia; Francisco de Aguirre, a Spanish captain who fought with Pizarro in Peru and with Valdivia in Chile, where he died in 1580; and Francisco's son Hernando de Aguirre, who also fought as a conquistador in Chile. Other migrants to the New World include Hurtado de Aguirre, who sailed to America in 1528; Francisco Aguirre, who sailed to New Granada in 1552; Juan Aguirre, who sailed to New Spain in 1576; to name just a few.
