The Aguiars from Sao Jorge came mostly from
Ribeira Seca. My maternal grandmother Rosa
had a sister Maria Aguiar who came to the U.S. at about 1900 and married A Roque Pereira da Rosa in Novato Ca. Her father
was Manuel Machado Aguiar born 7-20-1832
in Ribeira Seca. I have traced this line
back to the late 1400s. I have about 350
descedants of Manuel Machado Aguiar in my
data base. Manny
