I'm looking for descendants of John Agnew born c1839 in Magherafelt, Derry, Ireland. His parents were Henry Agnew and Mary Molloy. I don't know when he came to Australia but he had several children between 1870s - 1880s with Annie Budd; they married in 1906 in Sydney.
Their known children were:
- Margaret b.1871(my G-Grandmother but noted as illegitimate on her birth cert so possible John is not her father)
- John b. c1877
- George b.1880 QLD
- Robert b.1888 Caboolture, QLD
Also believe there may have been two girls Isobel and Ethel. They maiden names were Agnew but not sure if they are John and Annie's children. They are named in a will which suggests they were related to John in some way.
Most of my Agnews married in Lismore, NSW but both Annie and John died in Brisbane. There were Agnew cousins living in Brisbane in the 1970s but our family has lost touch with them.
If anyone is researching this family I would love to hear from you.
