Not knowing the extensive history mentioned here to for I wish to state that I have ancestry that connects to this grouping of people and that I have no idea as to who the female person is that married my Hugh Giffen other than she was referred to as Miss Agnew of Donegore near
templepatrick and that she was a wife and mother and grandmother with no first name in myh genealgoyi. SH was married probably about 1733 and lived in
Carnmoney,Antrim, Ireland ,and she and her children aare mentioned in the records of the Presbyterian
church..as Giffen's..Her husband was mentioned a being born about 1720 and he was possibly a Laird from scotland who was known as Hugh Montgomery of Giffen,Ayrshire,Scotland but as of this time I cannot prove this theory..unfortunatley..
I am looking and seeking for the name of Miss Agnew and how she is placed in the Agnew genalogy and family..I figure she was born maybe 1718 to 1720 or so..?
any ideas or any genealogy that is known of this fmaily...?
