William, do you know any dates for your Sarah? There were a succession of "Squire Agnews" who lived at the castle; William Agnew was known by his fellow church members at the Old Kilwaughter-Larne Presbyterian Church as "The Old Squire." I just was there at the church this weekend looking at records, and the minister showed me the pew where Squire Agnew (William) sat. In the session books and baptismal records I saw many, many instances of Agnews there. There was a Patrick Agnew who was also referred to as "Squire Agnew."

The website for the church is http://www.nspresbyterian.org/churches/church14/churchdetail.htm

Good luck,
DJ
