I don't have anything definite about Ira Ager's parents. Ira was born in Bennington County, VT in 1805 and in the 1810 Bennington County, VT census there were two Ager families. William Ager and William Ager Jr. William Ager Jr.had 1 female under 10 and 1 female 10-16. William Ager Sr. had 1 male and 2 females under 10. (Ira would fit the male under 10) 1 male and 3 females 10 to 16 and 1 male and 1 female 16 to 26 and 1 female 26 to 45 and 1 male 45 and over. I am guessing that William Ager might be his father. Ira was living in Hoosick in 1830 with his wife Eliza Joslin. They are mentioned in Eliza's grandfather's will. Sometime in 1830, Ira moved to Michigan. If Ira Ager is William Ager's son, then he would have had several sisters.
