I was always of the understanding that the name Affleck/Afflick and other similar derives from Auchinlech and is of Scottish origin. In 2000 there were some 73 address's for AFFLICK in England and there were none it seems in Scotland. There are it seems many of this name in the West Indies and quite a few have returned to these shores and form some of the above 73.
I have a record of one Andrew Affleck who emigrated to Barbados in 1678.
