Trying to trace back from Samual Afflick, who married Ann Beeston in 1849 at St Johns, Waterloo, UK. On his marriage certificate his father was named as Samuel Afflick and a sergeant in the army, possibly the Black Watch. Samuel Afflick senior was possibly born in Scotland.
