Unfortunately the Archibald I mentioned died in 1837 and is buried in the Parish of Balmaghie Church yard. The area you mentioned figures into my line. I am somewhat fuzzy on the Scotland end. The following is all the info I have on my Affleck's back to Scotland.
"Pa's(Pa is Robert G. Affleck) grandfather's name was James. He was twice married. His first wife had ten-children and second wife eight. Pa's father , David (my ggg-grandfather) was by second wife and youngest but one. Archibald the younger died in june 1837 and is buried in the Parish of Balmaghie church yard. David Affleck (Pa's father) and Anne Gillespie (mother) were married in Dalry at a public house called mid-town. Mr Alexander of Glenhoven was at the wedding. Barbara Gillespie sister of Anne died May 7, 1848 aged 75. John Gillespie Uncle of Ann and Barbara died May 27, 1800, age 66. Both lie in the Dalry Kirkyard."
I think this was written by my g-grandfather Flavius Augustus Affleck, son of Robert G. Affleck.
