Dennis,
I just came across this post. I have family ties to the Aerni's in Clay County, Texas. My Granddad came to the USA as a child. He was born in 1880 in Switzerland. From trying to trace my roots, I have found some info on relatives that were born in Bern, Switzerland. Although I have some info.... there are still a lot of blanks in my family tree.
