Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Since you are curious about who your Aebersold ancestors were, you should check out the following URL. Just click on http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~eversole/. You will be connected to the website of the E162 Project which has data on the largest collection in existence today, (over 6000 names), of people who have used the surnames EVERSOLE or EBERSOLE in any of its many variations.
This website has information about the E162 Project Goals and Resources, along with current and past issues of the E162 News, the project newsletter which reports on our activities. The E162 Project maintains a database containing ALL the data it can find on all people with EV/EB surnames. This data is used to answer specific questions about queries from researchers and family historians. The current "most likely" BMD data and relationships of the non-living individuals in the E162 Database is available on the WorldConnect public database at: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com
My name is Ed Eversole and I am the administrator of the E162 Project. Hope you will visit sometime, find it interesting and worthwhile. If so, we encourage you to send us updates on any data you find missing from, or corrections to, the databases. Queries, of course, are welcome at any time. We monitor the Aebersold Forum and try to respond to any queries for which we have data that may be pertinent. Information about living people will only be released to others if we have written permission from those involved.
