You have stumbled onto one of the more confusing parts of my family history. Your husbands ancestor Heinrich Adrian, 3-2-1851, married Helena Loewen, 1853. His son is Heinrich born Dec 1873 and is the son of Heinrich 1822, who is the son of Heinrich Jacob Adrian 1779. These names and dates come from the 1835 Motlochna census and the passenger list of the Hammonia and the Grandma CD. Interestingly, one of my ancestors was a Heinrich Peter Adrian, 12-29-1854 who married Helena Wiebe, 1857. He was son of Peter Dirk Adrian. Very confusing at times. My theory is that some time in the past they were related. They all lived in Russia and came to the US and even the same county at about the same time. Is your husband a direct male descendant? If so, I have been looking for a male from this family to undergo DNA testing along with me to see how close our family trees are. I would be glad to pay for the testing for him or any other Adrian males in this lineage. Thanks. Bart Adrian Notify Administrator about this message?
