Hello again, Amy:
I don't know that you received my response to your email request about my Raymond Adrian but I did reply.
Anyway, I,too, amd a descendant of Stephen Adrian via third son George William and was able to track the actual location of Klingenburg down through assistance of a Navy shipmate who was stationed in Germany.
Klingenburg is located the the province of Bavaria in southern Germany (it was an independent nation when Stephen, his brother Michael, and parents John Peter and Gertrude emigrated to the US in 1840) on the Main River along Route 469 about 50 miles (that is a guess from a map I downloaded from the Internet) southeast of Aschaffenburg.
The closest big (popular) city is Darmstadt which looks to be about 100 miles to the northwest. Cousin Mimi sent me a picture of a postcard from 1978 via email that someone in the family brought back from their trip to Germany. I also have several maps that I would be happy to forward if you'll give me your snail mail address. When is your son leaving for Germany? Has he got room for me in his suitcase???? I'll be more than happy to share what I have.
Sincerely
Cousin Scott
