I'm researching Robert Adrain (sic), a noted mathematician who became vice-provost of the Univ. of Pennsylvania. Anyone know anything about his parentage? He was born in Carrickfergus in 1775, emigrated in 1798. His son was Garnett Adrain who became a Congressman
