Maternal Great Grandmother
My maternal great grandmother was "Harriett Augustus Hanson". I was told she had a twin but both were adopted out to two different families around the Frederiction, NB, Canada area.
On a copy of a marriage certificate of one of her daughters (my great Aunt) they had their mother's name as "Harriett Augustus Brewer" while their other siblings had their mother down as Harriett Augustus Hanson. With this I believe the adoption story must be true.
Then I found Harriett Brewer's marriage registration to "Samuel Edger Brown" which was the same name as the husband of Harriett Augustus Hanson. The ages were the same so I believe this is the same person.
Also on my great aunt's birth registration in the New Brunswick Archives, Canada their mother is listed as Hanson but like I said they had their mother's name as Brewer.
On the marriage registration (Samuel E. Brown m. Hattie A. Brewer), Hattie had her parents down as Martha and William. In the family search records that I did find HARRIETT AUGUSTUS HANSON'S parents as Levi Hanson and Lucy Jane Jones of Zealand Station, York, NB. Christening date 17 June 1870. I believe Hattie A. Brewer and Harriett A. Hanson are one and the same person.
Can anyone help me with this???
