I was just reading a report of a board meeting at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, dated August 1950.Dr. Frank Hamilton was reporting the loss of observation privileges of deliveries (for students???) at area hospitals. The Los Angles City Maternity Service recommended that they could do home deliveries. He noted that the cost for a "home pack" was $57.00, and that the Los Angeles Fire Department was willing to aid them with problem deliveries.I did not see a specific hospital named. They intended to pursue the matter, so by 1953 they may have been using the hospitals, or maybe she was born at home. The person I mentioned born in 1952 did not include the name of a hospital.
