I am writing this for my mother Marjorie Bonfils Murphy. Murphy is my mother's married name.
My mother was adopted as a baby and is looking for her birth family. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, her birth date is January 30, 1927.
Her adoptive family never gave her any information about her history. The birth certificate she found, that she thinks is hers, states that the mother's name was Esther Jordan, age 18, and the father was Joseph Moseley, age 20. This would put Esther's birth date about 1909 and Joseph's about 1907. It does state that Esther was born in Washington and says she was a dress maker and Joseph was a laborer. It also had an address for Esther of 942 Edgewood Rd, Los Angeles, CA.
Does any one know of either of these people?
My Mother has had the HVR1 and HVR2 mtDNA test done through Genebase.
