Sorry late in replying.... 1 day off from work in 7 and its more busy than the days at work it seems.Never can catch up it seems.Maybe it will rain today and if so we close and leave work ....
Hum
All that you found is very interesting... I am going to ck it all out in the next few days after work
I too am beginning to wonder if Rosa was married befor she married John Demodine. That would explain Jennie in 1880
Also will ck for John and Rose in the 1870 census as John said he came in 1869 ?Rose in 1870
re Jennie
However stepdaughter in the 1880 census could mean anything for Jennie. Jennie could have been living with John and Rose to help with Andrew.... She could have been Rose's daughter from 1st marriage. She could be the mother of Andrew
taken in when her family threw her out cause of woopsie coming and John and Rose took her in and raised Andrew for some reason. She became "like their daughter"
I think it might be prudent to find John and Rose's immigration to the US... John said 1869 and Rose said 1870 in the 1900 census....so I will ck that out this evening and see what I find. That should maybe help solve some of this speculations . Will look for Rose under both surnames.
Thank you for giving me more ideas to ck out.
Have a good day there
Sharon
