In the 1900 Census of Clay County, Kansas, Melvin Roy Amerman, who was born on the date of March 9, 1882 in Shelby, Nebraska, which is in Polk County, Nebraska, was listed on the 1900 census as an adopted son of Frank Amerman, and his wife, Mary Pointer Amerman, and this Amerman family was residing in Iola, Kansas, which is situated in Allen County, Kansas, and Frank Amerman was employed as a grocery clerk and his adopted son, Melvin Roy Amerman was employed as a garage laborer, and Frank and Mary Amerman were also the parents of another son, Cecil Ray Amerman, who was born on the date of November 10, 1896, but Cecil Ray Amerman was not adopted, any information would be greatly apperciated, thank you very much, kitty
