Wow!You've really dug up some gems!I knew a little about my grandfather's adoptive parents.They were rather big fish in the small pond of Wichita Falls.What I find interesting is that you were able to find articles in the Wichita Daily Times (June 6, 1922)...how did you find that on line?That was not too long after my grandfather was officially adopted in 1922.At the risk of appearing cold, but I don't have any interest in the McCutchens themselves; it's the birth family I am after.Regarding that, you found some good stuff.For example, perhaps it is significant that Elizabeth McCutchen vacationed in Colorado.Also, Willie May Wilkinson as a ward has real possibilities.I hadn't considered that route of investigating wards and lodgers, etc...Constance, I have to say, I was ready to give up on this since there have been so many strong obstacles over the last 7 years I've been trying, but you have revived my optimism about finding the birth family.Thank you!
