I am from Harrisburg Illinois. My father and mother is in Harrisburg Illinois. He is listed as Ralph Adkisson in the Harrisburg telephone directory.
I am very familiar with all of the Adkisson's in that area. There are Dorris's, Ingrams, and the other name you mentioned. Call him and he will give you all the info he has. He knows a bunch of people in that area.
There is Southern Illinois (100mi south of chicago) then there is "Southern Illinois". That is way down here! Clinton County is where all the Yankee Adkissons live.
