I have that Nancy Jane's mother was Catherine Robbins. Other info on this family includes: 1) from the Obion Co., TN - Misc. - 1860 Mortality Schedule: Adkinson, W.D., 57, (m), Birthplace unk., Dec., Farmer, Consumption; 2) from 1824-1877 Obion Co., Marriages, DAR Edition, p.9: William D. Adkinson to Catherine Robins, Issued - 6/28/1830, sol - no date, Surety - John Robbins, Officiant - none; and 3) from 1850 Obion Co. Census Abstract: 253. Adkinson,William 48 KY, Catherine 45 NC, Jane 15 TN, Columbus 14 TN, Narcissa 12 TN, Louisa 7 TN, John 6 TN, Sarah 3 TN. It appears that Jim and Nancy Jane (Adkinson) Patterson named several of their children after Nancy Jane's siblings.

I'm trying to determine if there is a connection between William Adkinson from KY with my ggg grandfather, John Adkison (b. Abt 1812, TN d. 5 Nov 1876, TN) of Tipton Co., TN. I would appreciate any info that you have to share.
