William Adkins would have been born in the 1700's. John "Johnny Flathead" Cantrell son of Capt. Abraham Cantrell and his first wife whose name is unkn was born abt 1773 in NC and died in Warren Co, TN. He married Mary Adkins 1793 in Spartanburg Co, SC, daughter of William Adkins. She was born 1774 Spartanburg Co, SC and died aft. Oct 1850 in Warren Co, TN.
Daniel Draton Cantrell, born 1770 Guilford, NC, d 1841, married 1798 Spartanburg Dist. SC Miss Forrester b 1770 Spartanburg Dist. SC. Daniel Cantrell was the son of Rev. Isaac Cantrell b abt 1729 and his second wife Elizabeth. Daniel's full siblings were Sarah, Peter, Benjamin. Proven by Spartanburg County estate settlement of Rev. Isaac Cantrell. Peter Cantrell protested the original settlement because not all the heirs were named. He named his full siblings and some of Rev. Isaac Cantrell's by his first wife Telitha Cloud. Rev. Isaac Cantrell's third wife Mary (Linder) Cantrell had children not named who may have died previously. Her children and herself received his personal estate and after her share, 19 heirs received their portion. One of Mary's heirs died and there was no provision for his share so it went to court and her children were named. When she died they were named again.
