Thanks! I had some here and there and the line but not specifics on that. My grandmother remembered by stories Winchester was a merchant. He died just a few weeks after she was born so she never really knew him. I've been looking for cousins that she remembered but so far they all seem to have passed already leaving just her. From stories Morrell was supposed to have gotten married and had more kids by WWII. His enlistment records state he was married so maybe one day we'll find out what happened to him after she was born one day. I know she had contact with his brothers Harmon and Morrell (she didn't even remember a sister) and Harmon's sons during the war time but that side of our family has been a mystery on anything really for us because her parents were never married because by rumor Winchester wouldn't allow it and he died just a few days after being turned down meeting her after not allowing the parents to see each other after walking all the way to their house to try to talk to her mother. I've heard that story since I was very young and it's all I really know about this part of the family because the endearment seems to end there on the line of information I can get. I still would love to know because things are never as easy as some make it out to be especially with unwed parents I'm sure back then.
