Am at a standstill--need help. The 1880 census lists Christian Ade as a 46-year-old farmer coming from Wirtumberg (sic) Germany as did his father, Gottfried Ade and mother, Magdalena Tieben. Christian is my gggrandfather and supposedly he and his father were both Lutheran Ministers in Germany. His children were Amanda, Ella, David Charles, Lillian, Emma, and Edward. He came to the US about the age of 22 and settled around Indianapolis, IN, then moved to Vermilion Co., IL. He later moved to Cherryvale, KS where he died.Any help about any of these names would be greatly appreciated.
