Stephen,. John Addy from Wittersham. .My husband
and I live in Auckland,New Zealand and our surname is Addy.
Michael is from Kent, and I have been attempting to do his family tree. We have managed to go back as far as 1799,when
John Addy married Hannah Relf at Wittersham, wev'e pretty much figured out the rest of the family line from there, but
the frustrating thing is we cannot find out where he came
from, there is a lot of variations of the name , but i did
find ADDYS at Isle of Man in the 1700;s,including John Addy
born 1768 at Kirk German. Michael says his father used to
tell him when he was a young boy that one of his ancestors
sailed from down the coast of scotland and evidently settled
in Kent, !! Michaels family lived mostly in Wittersham,
Appledore,Stone,at name a few. Can you or anyone else who
may see this-HELP- Anne Addy
