Addy Family Genealogy Forum

Sandra,
I could probably keep quiet and save myself further embarrassment, but it was I who submitted the Addy, Couch, McLane, and Rall manuscripts for the 1988 "History of Coweta County, GA." I have been digging back through my files to see just when and where I got the name Catherine Page. It goes back at least to 1961, but I am thus far unable to see where I got it and can only cite mental aberration as my source. Of course it was your Bible reference that convinced me of my long-standing error.
Can you share your references on Solomon Ade and family at Ebenezer and the date of their move and land grant in South Carolina? I used to live in Savannah and was quite familiar with Jerusalem Church at New Ebenezer and the beginnings of the Salzberger Museum there in the 1970s. It would interest me to know where their land was located at Ebenezer and if they had a town lot. Ditto the Schneiders (I never dreamed of a connection between Schneider or Schroder and Taylor. Can you share information on this, and how the name translated?) Yes, I have found via the net that Breiss became Price, and I have long known about Rahl to Rawl/s. (You may note that for the older generations I prefer the Rall form as that is how Jacob Rall spelled it in Georgia, though his descendants are now mostly Rawls.)
What are your two lines from John Simeon Addy, Sr.? My line, as you have no doubt gathered, is through his son Jacob Addy, then Maria Elizabeth Addy McLane, then Lillie McLane Couch, then Ida Couch Moore, my grandmother. Please respond at your convenience to my e-mail address. Thank you for your postings and your response to my postings.
Joseph Moore
