Dear Linda.
James Addington (b.1799 Newberry Dist., SC; d.1861 Hampton, Fannin co., GA; bur. Morganton, Fannin co., GA) married Winnifred Woodfin c. 1817. He was the son of William Addington (b. after 7 sept 1759; d. 7 Sept 1845 Union co., GA; bur. 1st United MC, Franklin, Macon co., GA) and his wife, Deliliah (Dee) Duncan, whom he married on 22 Dec. 1782 at Duncan's Creek, Newberry Distict, SC.
Among James many brothers was the eldest one, John Addington (b. 10 Nov. 1787 Newberry Dist., SC; d. 30 Aug, 1861, Jackson co., GA).
He married Rachel Miller on 1 May 1808 in Buncombe co., NC.
The source for my information is:
http://www.gendex.com./gendex/

It's an excellent source, and may have Rachel Miller's ancestors listed. Also, at the top of the Addington forum is a message posted to me (under Addington in Barry co., Missouri, c. 1860) from David Addington on 10/17/98. He lists the ancestry of James Addington. Good hunting!
Virginia Tracy
