Mary Ann Addington was born 27 Apr 1818 in Indiana and died 15 Oct 1863, Darke Co., Ohio. She married first William Graham 21 Aug 1835 in Darke Co. and their children were Catharine, Anna, Sarah Ann and John W. She married second Thomas W. Penny 5 Apr 1849 in Darke Co. and their children were Elizabeth, Susannah, Harvey and Sylvester Henry. Mary Ann and her first husband William were in Missouri for the births of two of their children in the early to mid-1840's. It is thought that Mary's father was named James and that he was born in South Carolina. There is both a William Graham and a James Addington in Benton County, Missouri in the 1840 census. In 1850, James Addington, age 58, born SC, is in St. Clair Co., Missouri, with wife Elizabeth, age 57, born SC; Sarah Ann, age 20, born OH; William D., age 11, born OH; A. Lewis, age 10, born MO; James Ray, age 8, born MO, and William Jones, age 6, born MO. By 1850, Mary Ann had married Thomas Penny and is with him in the 1850 census in Darke Co., OH. William Graham's whereabouts are unknown. Can anyone confirm that the 1850 James Addington family in St. Clair Co., Missouri is Mary Ann Addington/Graham/Penny's family and provide further information?
