Hi James & Roger,

My brother, Father and Grandfather are all named William Addie, It has been the "family name" for generations supposedly.

My grandfather was born in Aberdeenshire on 4th April 1922 and eventually Married Margaret (maiden nameunknown), they had two children Elma & William. My father (William) was born in Aberdeenshire on 31st December 1950,they Lived in Tarves, Scotland and then moved to Aberdeen where we all still live.

I have heard in the past that we do have relatives in Canada, however I have never met them.

I realise this probably does not help in the slightest but I'm just so happy to see other people with the Addie surname, I was beginning to think we were the only ones.

I wish you all the best in your search and will keep you posted with anything I find out from my grandparents.

Best regards

Jayne Addie
Aberdeen, Scotland
