It seems likely that the lineage of Flemstead/Flemsted Jones Adcock was:
1 Edward Davidson married Agnes Mosby (may not have been Edward's first and only wife, but no proof).Edward (born around 1715-1725) left Buckingham Co., VA and moved to Bedford/Campbell Co., VA around 1780 or so.
2 An unknown daughter of the above Edward Davidson married Abraham Jones.Abraham Jones, along with four other sons-in-law, were all given some of Edward Davidson's slaves (around 1800), after Edward and Agnes (Mosby) Davidson had both died in Campbell Co., VA.Edward left a Will in 1794, but unfortunately, he did not provide the names of all of his daughters.Other daughters married Merry Webb, John Vest, James Vest and John Kitchen (and all of these men received some of Edward Davidson's slaves, as did Abraham Jones).
3 Flemstead/Flemsted Jones (not sure of his wife).Flemstead/Flemsted Jones had apparent brothers who were named Abraham Jones, Junior and Davidson Jones.
4 Judith Ann Jones married Joseph Adcock
The above Edward Davidson appears to have been a son of the David Davidson who died in Charles City Co., VA in 1756, and a grandson of the older David Davidson who died in James City Co., VA (JCCo) in 1687 (and who owned land in JCCo by at least 1682).That older David Davidson was born in Holland, and this is part of DNA "Family 10" at www.davidsongenes.org.
