ON - "Edward & Henry were Brothers from Joesph of Buckingham, son of John, son of Edward, son of Lt.John Adcocke.(Yes) Edward & Henry left Buckingham VA somewhere around 1764/70.(Henry on Tax List in 64, & not after), Henry to Anson Co. NC; and Edward, on down to Georgia. (Yes) Edward was married to a "??Stisteon??,(In Buckingham) her father was named THOMAS;(I have seen Thomas and Alexander, ADCOCK's NAMED their first son after mom's Dad.- but this didn't always happen) andEdwards' sons were Thomas, James, John, & Edward Jr."- (As far as I come up with (& I'm not saying I'm Right)is that Edward (Edmond) sons were Thomas, James, John (don't know about the order)and I am guessing about Edward Jr, only because he may have left & went elsewhere.
My Grand-Uncle did our Genealogy in 1920/30, his Father, Uncle, and Aunt, were still living. He said that we came from VA., and that TWO came over.- The only other TWO were, "THOMAS & RICHARD" in 1741 and "JOHN & maybe TOBY" some years later. My studies show most of these boys in Warren, Chatham, and so-forth, should be THOMAS and RICHARD's sons. (TWO came over); but I have a hard time with Henry, and Edward (Edmond), is still there in 1780; unless these could be grand-sons, and Henry and Edmond has already left.
