Neil,
I lost my hard drive a few months ago. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of scanned documents. I have the originals but have not had a chance to rescan them. I will send information as I am able to recover it. I would also be happy to send you what I have if you would like copies.
From Harrison Co. Marriage Bonds and Marriages, 1814+, page 64 - John Adams and Ann McNees. Bond #1424. Bond date: May 9, 1820. Bondsman: James Hiks. Consent of Absalom Adams for the marriage of John Adams (no relationship is stated), given May 8, 1920. Attest: Martha Wollery, James Hiks. Marriage date: not recorded.
Harrison Co, Kentucky Record Book C, 1814-1820 page 59-
Adams - Division of Estate: John Adams, dec'd.
Widow mentioned but not named. Heirs: to Levicia Adams, to William Collier, to Nancy Adams, to James Swinford, to Betsy Adams, to James Hiks, to John Adams (perhaps a John Jr.) March 15, 1819. Pg 423
Guardianship - John, Elizabeth, Levicia, and Nancy Adams - infant orphans of John Adams, dec'd, chose Absalom Adams as their guardian. Security: John Berry. April 1810. Page 423.
I also have a copy of the handwritten will of John Adams.
More info to come as I go through my documents.
Susan
