Ancestors of Eleanor Adams
I am researching the ancestors ofmy great, great, great, great grandmother, Eleanor (Adams) Craven, who was married to Thomas Craven, a Revolutionary War soldier.
I don't have pertinent dates or locations with respect to births, marriages, deaths or as to other children, etc., but would assume any dates would be in the range from around the 1760s through around the1830s.
Also, it is assumed that Eleanor Adams Craven may have resided in the Virginia-Carolina, Ohio River Valley (Northern Kentucky-Southern Indiana) areas due to the locations of her descendents.
Their son was John Craven, who married Mary Kennedy. They subsequently had a daughter, Mary Craven, who married Philip Lewis, maybe in Kentucky or in Southeastern Illinois.
Same comment as to dates, other children, etc., but again, would assume dates would range from around the 1800s through around the 1860s or the 1870s.
Philip and Mary Craven Lewis in turn had a daughter, Martha Lewis, b. 2/11/1841, who d. 2/26/1902, in Southern Illinois, Wabash County. In 1865, shemarriedSamuel Coles Besley in Bridgeport, Illinois. Besley is listed in the book "Dutch Webbers of Indiana & Illinois", as part of the Webber line.
