Dear EuGene, Jane again, I thought I'd take a peek at your posting history and came across the three messages you posted seeking proof that Mastin H. was the son of Matthew Jeptha Adams. All of the information you posted for the Adams family and their move from South Carolina to Georgia is correct. In my correspondence with Donald Forbes, he sent to me scans of the Milton county Mastin's bible records that was handed down through one of the McCall sister's granddaughters. I do believe Matthew is named in that document, but I could be wrong. I am away from home for several months on family business and have those files there. In any event, Donald did state not only Mastin was the son of Matthew, but named all of the other children, here is a quote from a portion of an intrepretation he wrote, "By 1850 some of Mathew's children had moved into the area of Cherokee Co which later became Milton Co. and then Fulton Co. Mathew, Jr. and his brother Mastin Huron were among the residents enumerated in Cherokee Co." I hope this answers your question concerning Mastin. Regards, Jane Notify Administrator about this message?
