From the Medicine Lodge (Kansas) Cresset, Friday, March 27, 1908, page 1:
Adams - Stone
At the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. J. M. Hall, two miles west of this city on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m., Maude A. Stone was married to Edwin Adams, Rev. W. H. Moore, pastor of the M. E. Church of this city officiating.
The approaching marriage of this popular couple had been kept so quiet that their many friends were much surprised but congratulations began pouring in as soon as the fact became known.
The wedding was a quiet one, only the immediate relatives being present. Joe Hallings and his mother, old friends of the groom were here from Coats.
The bride is a daughter of of Mrs. Katherine Stone and is well known and held in high regard by the entire community. Mr. Adams is partner and manager of Adams and Co's store in this city, a leading member of the Methodist church and a good citizen. We join with the large circle of friends in extending congratulations.
