I don't have information on Robert Adam Jr., but the question about the Adam Family Architect that for a time built for King George III was the brother to Robert Adam Sr., James Adam. James Adam was the designer of Portland Place, one of the noblest streets in London. From the two brothers (Robert Sr. and James Adam) the Adelphi Buildings in the Strand derive their name being their joint work.

William Adam & Mary Robertson were the parents to John, Robert, James & William Adam who all worked as builders or Architects. They are featured in a September/October 2008 issue of The Highlander. "The Adam Family, Scotland's Master Architects."
