Hi David;

I'm not related, but do have interest. I am doing research on the LONGFELLOW family, and have interest in Capt Abraham Adams who married Anne Longfellow.

I question the accuracy of your Adams (ancestors?), if the John Adams b 3 May 1742 is the same 2nd Prez of US. I would also be interested in where your birth dates came from (those 17th century Adams'), and where you got the THREE consecutive Robert Adams (one year you show is out of wack), which I assume is intended to show your lineal descent? I believe there were but 2. The 2nd Prez was a descendant of Henry Adams, who was brother of Robert Adams (1601-1682)of Newbury, Mass. This Robert (who came in 1635), was grandfather of Abraham who married Anne Longfellow. Henry came to New England in 1630, and was son of William who was son of Robert. Have you looked at NEHGR 11[1857]:53, and Savage?

Robert (age 77) and son Abraham Adams (age 37), both took the oath of allegiance at Newbury in 1678. Thus Robert, born 1601 (died 12 Oct 1682).
