Hello Wendy. I have been searching for my Adam gravestones recently, and I found an entry for it in the St Andrew's Churchyard. There is also an entry for a Mary Adam who I thought might be the ancestor that you mentioned. Not sure
though, as she would have been born in 1848, not 1838.
Anyway, the entry is :
Hus. Alexander Aird D. 30 Apr. 1880, 53 yrs.
Wife. Margaret Easton(?) D. 30 July 1866, 35 yrs.
Other wife, Mary Adam D.24 June 1899, 51 yrs.
Daugh. Charlotte Thomson D. 3 Apr. 1875, 20 mnths.
Son. Edward Aird. D. 13(?) Aug. 1880, 4 1/2 mnths.
also children died in infancy.
