Attempting to locate any and all relatives on my fathers side from Scotland. His father was Harry Galt Adam b 23 May 1900 to James Adam b 16 June 1866 , Tradeston, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland, James and wife Julia Murray Mellis(?) left Scotland for Nova Scotia and then to the US. Julias parents possibly Alexander Mellis and Elizabeth Gardine(spelling?). James and Julia married 11 November 1866 Milton,Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. James father was also named James who married a Janet/Jessie Galt 13 October 1863 Govan, Lanark,Scotland. Janet may have been born 8 May 1831 in Gorbals, Her parents were John Galt and Janet Leggat. Would appreciate any and all help.
