I am trying to find out about my gt grandfather William Adam.
He was born March 12, 1867 at Maryculter Kincardith.
His mother was called Isabella Adam and worked as a maid in a castle.
He moved south to Portsmouth with his wife Margaret Sutherland (from Lairg, Sutherland) and became a policeman on the docks.
