Robin Adair is related to the "Hollybrook" Wicklow Adairs (my lineage).
They have the same ancestor, the aforementioned William Adair d.1626 (1852 Burkes Landed Gentry of "Bellgrove" who m. Jane LINDSAY (dau. of Earl of Crauford).
Robin was descended from their 1st son ROBERT. The Wicklow Adairs are descended from their 2nd son ARCHIBALD who d. Bristol 1647, he m. Helena CAMPBELL dau of Sir John Campbell of The House of Argyle. He was made Bishop Dean of Raphoe 1630, Bishop of Killala 1640, Bishop of Waterford 1641.
Archibald and Helena had son Capt.Andrew Adair who m. Mary Conway Loftus.
Capt. Andrew & Mary had son Charles Adair who m. Eleanor Cooke, dau. of Capt. Robert Cooke of Cooksborough, co.Westmeath. Charles & Eleanor had son Robert Adair of Hollybrook who m. Jane Foster. I have copy of her will.
Robert & Jane of Hollybrook had Anne, who m. Molesworth, Dorcus m. Galbraith Holmes, Jane m. Hepenstal, Eleanor m. Hodson (then of "Hollybrook") Elizabeth m. Lambert, John,
Foster m. 1785 Anne Ripton. (see "Early Life Correspondence & writings of the Rt.Hon.Edmund Burke" Samuels, S920 B9591 1, p.145 re Foster Adair's wounding by Mr. Barnard at TCD.) Also Lewis Topographical Diction cites various Church donations by Foster. I have copies of other wills.
