Tim, I beleive that the Adair's are of Scotch-Irish origin. My great Aunt, Annie Fall Monroe contributed to the Adair Genealogy. According to her great-grandfather Judge Thomas Bell Monroe who married Eliza P. Adair, daughter of Gov. John Adair (KY) indicates that the family entered PA and then removed to SC with the Scotch-Irish. I know that the family were Presbyterians before the Revolution. I am most interested in your research in Ireland. Remember, that many Adairs moved to England and this may have something to do with the Fitzgearld legend. All of this is very interesting as we contiue to verify and document our ancestry. This challenge keeps us on our toes. Linda
