I don't think my (direct) Adair line were of the Texas clan (nor, I don't believe, the Laurens Co, SC branch); my kin settled mainly in WV/early VA, KY, & perhaps TN. I have healthy data on this line, but have hit a brick wall with MOSES ADAIR (in some instances, he -- then his descendants from then on -- used the ADDAIR surname). I've searched all over w/out luck to go further back and would love some assistance if anyone knows who his parents/sibs may have been. He was born in Knox or Floyd County, KY in 1834 & died 1898 in McDowell Co., WV. Accounts differ as to whether he married once or twice: (a) to Susanna FLORANCE MULLINS, or (b) to Susie Florance, then Susanna Mullins. Please, somebody, help (I'd love to share what I have); I'm beginning to think he & his bros. were orphaned!!!
