Hello Lee,John Isaac was born, reared, educated and married in the north of Ireland. They migrated to America about 1765, and settled in S.C. Issac Adair served in Picken's brigade (one source says Marion's brigade) and was killed in April 1781. A.A.20; S346; Annuitants Claims. Isaac Adair from Carroll Co., Ms. is the son of John Isaac and Ruth Greer. Isaac in Ms. was born 1778 Laurens Co., S.C. and died at age 93 in 1871, now Montgomery Co., Ms. (Mont. became a county in 1871). He married Mary Walker Crenshaw, dau. of Nathan and Susan __? Crenshaw. Isaac and Mary Walker had the follow children: Ruth, m. Frank A. Allen; Daniel, m. Stacy Russell; Johnathan, died young; Weyman, died young; Pleasant Walker, m. Martha Herring; Issac Granger, m. Mary Parker; Francis Marion, m. Sarah Ann Thompson; Mary Walker, m. William Moore; Issabelle, died young; Susan, m. Argyle Heslip; James C., m. Kisiah Herring (my g grandparents); William Henry, m. Elizabeth Frances Ross; Thomas Nepoleon, m. (widow of his brother Wm. Henry) Elizabeth Frances Ross. I appreciate the email and hope I can tie my Adair in with the three brothers that came into Pa. and then to S.C. I visited Laurens, S.C. a few years ago. I went out to Duncan's Creek Presb. Church.
