I am descended from John Issac Adair who married
Ruth Greer. They were from Laurens County, S.C.
Joseph Adair, Sr. m. Sarah Laferty abt 1732.
Child of Joseph and Sarah Laferty Adair: Joseph
Adair, Jr. (1733-1812) m. c1758 Sarah Dillard
(sister of Capt. James Dillard?). Their children
were: Elisha, John, James, robdrt, Jane wife of
Thomas Holland, Elizabeth wife of George Davis a
and John Hughston, Casey(Cassandra) wife of Thomas
McDrary Jr. and Charity Wife of___ Farmer and
David Little. Joseph, Jr. and his family lived
around the Duncan Creek area in Laurens County.
Joseph, Sr. is buried in duncan Creek Cemetery.
His will was dated january 9, 1788 and probated
soon after he died 1788-89.
