William Arthur Adair married Isabella Octavia Jones in Limestone Co AL in 1843. This couple was found on the 1850 census of Harrison Co TX. He was born about 1821/1822 supposedly in AL, but perhaps TN is also possible.
By any chance was Isabella Octavia Jones or William Arthur Adair mentioned in the will of 1837? I'm wondering if this is a case of 1st cousins marrying each other.
I found a cemetery listing for William Arthur Adair in the Harrison Co TX website, and it says that he died in 1857. However, the remark was that headstone said that he was 86 years old. I'm fairly certain that he was only 36 years old however, and weathering of the stone made the 36 look like 86.
I'm also looking for a Spotswood Adair and a Mary Catharine Adair. Perhaps the full name might be Alexander Spotswood Adair. These names are in the same cemetery but have no dates.
